The Company was formed when I returned to the UK from Saudi Arabia where I was Area Manager for Al Olayan in Riyadh in charge of all the Imports & Exports for the Bechtel contract with the new KKIA (King Kaled International Airport) where we imported thousands of both Air & sea imports.   One of the memorable imports was I chartered a 747 cargo plane to ship in the Kings solid Marble bath weighing over 12 tonne’s

I returned to Harrogate where I built up a portfolio of over 20 properties & 100 bedsits (HMO) worth over £3 million.   I bought many properties & converted them into high quality self-contained apartments

I then diversified into Property management when I managed hundreds of properties over Yorkshire including Harrogate, Leeds, York, Bradford & Halifax

I had initially offices on Westmoreland St Harrogate then formed a partnership with J Cairns on Princes Sq Harrogate

When we parted ways & I formed D R Hawkins Group & a building company D R Hawkins Properties Ltd
